Modern warfare demands that troops have good mobility. In terms of combat vehicles, it is required that they be lightweight, have good transportability and maneuverability. Replacing the armor steel plates in combat vehicles with titanium alloy can achieve the goal of reducing vehicle weight, improve the performance of weapon systems, and enhance battlefield survivability and combat capabilities. Due to its low density, high yield-to-strength ratio, corrosion resistance and non-magnetism, titanium alloy is the preferred material for the lightweight and performance improvement of military equipment. The rapid deployment and rapid response of military land-based weapons and equipment, as well as the rapid transportation in special areas, have put forward higher requirements for the lightweight of equipment.
